central nervous system

The Central Nervous System (CNS) is complex, it can be defined using three main overlapping functions, sensory input, integration, and motor output. In other words, we detect a stimulus, process it, and produce a motor response. Elite athletes spend hours training this process to improve their decision-making times and reaction speeds, however, to be fast is just the beginning, we want precision and accuracy consistently in any environment. Using specific training methods, we can directly enhance this pathway to elite status.

program design

  • Develop the physiology, mechanisms, and pathways

  • Learn the methods on how to train to improve sensory input to motor output

  • Learn how to adapt and become more proficient under physical stress

The programs

speed tech

Speed is defined as the rate at which someone or something moves or operates or is able to move or operate. This program attacks that very definition, specifically designed for athletes that want to enhance their ability to produce more power, increase strength, and produce explosive speed.

program design

  • understand basic terminology and patterns
  • Develop technique and mechanics
  • Increase range of motion and strength
  • practice and apply plyometrics and compound lift techniques
  • Develop and practice max velocity mechanics
  • Develop and practice max acceleration mechanics

The programs

movement

Movement training is hard to explain, when we try to define movement in the terms of a practice or training where do you start, and with this in mind, it’s exactly the point, there is no start point or endpoint, movement is always and forever. The definition of movement in the English dictionary is simply, “an act of moving”. Movement practice is this very act, balance, rhythm, coordination, locomotion, grappling, dancing, climbing, running, and so on. This type of training will dive into a variety of tasks, methods, and modalities. As Athletes and humans, we tend to specialize, for example, an AFL player will train his or her body to perform the skills required within the framework of the game.

Training this way, we begin to become very good at moving and performing in a specific way, the result is we limit our bodies full range of movement possibilities, the result is decreasing our true potential and a higher risk of injuries. Movement practice aims to allow athletes to develop a larger movement vocabulary, to address the whole body. People always comment that this type of training creates an awareness and understanding of themselves on a deeper level.

program design

This program touches on a range of movement concepts. It’s not specific to any sport or dogma, however, it applies to all sports and dogmas. To become the best Athlete we can be, we need to understand our body's true potential. Program content has been carefully designed to explore this potential in depth.

We will cover:

Balance, coordination, rhythm, locomotion, inversion, object manipulation, movement patterns, meditation methods.

program design

  • understand the basic physiology and of the respiratory system and the scientific connection of the breath

  • Dive into the mechanisms to understand the pathways and methods

  • practice the methods and apply these skills in real-time, under multiple environments

The programs

breath tech

During training or competition athletes undergo different types of stresses, small amounts are important physiological responses, however too much and we will see a rapid decline in an athlete's performance. So how do elite athletes manage the immense pressures from external factors on their internal chemistry? They practice breathing techniques, why? because we can consciously and directly influence the nervous system's response to stress through breath training.
